In August of 2021, I was looking to start a new chapter in my life. So much had happened over the previous 1.5 years with COVID and challenges around the world. It was time to think about a personal transformation.
So instead of coming up with a new workout routine or maybe changing eating habits, I decided to go way outside of my comfort zone. Sureya took me down a path of self-awareness that evolved many of my outlooks on life and brought some new passion and flare into my relationship with my wife (she is a huge Sureya fan too).

Sureya and her work came along at just the right time for me. This pandemic has highlighted a lot of things that I need to work on. I have been more isolated, and felt the need for intimacy very strongly. Yet I have found it so difficult to generate intimacy, to trust a woman fully enough after so many years of trauma and shame around dating and sex.
After finding my heart broken for the umpteenth time, feeling confused and ashamed, I found Sureya's work on a chance Google search. The free call with her showed me that she is a very caring teacher, with a vast capacity for listening and caring presence, so I started with her courses. These courses provide a path towards relaxing into love and pleasure, towards understanding masculinity and developing stronger integrity. The spiritual message that I was following unconsciously before this was one of "follow your blisters"- suffer more to become better. This is in contrast to "follow your bliss", which I felt was selfish.
Sureya's work bridges the gap between the two. In this work, everything is equally sacred. We learn that, in order to experience pleasure fully, we have to acknowledge, accept, and own our blisters and our wounds. The work is to look our deepest fears and regrets in the eye, and to love them. Though I certainly have not perfected this process, in a very short time I have discovered glimpses of the man and lover that I want to be. And I know a path that will take me there, with lots of hard work, and support from an amazing teacher and community of like-minded men along the way.

I received my first session with Sureya during a tough time. Prior to walking into my healing session I had very little experience with tantra or working to balance the male and female energies in the body. I have experience with meditation and energy work but have always found the sacral chakra, associated with sexuality, simultaneously intimidating and intriguing. I came to my session both with an open mind and a slight undertone of anxiety.
Like many men out there, I find it difficult to open up and shed my walls, but walking into the beautiful healing sanctuary that Sureya has cultivated, I immediately felt more comfortable. Sureya was very easy to talk to and no matter what the subject was, she spoke in such a way that made it feel very natural to respond and shed any pain, fear, insecurity, regret that I was feeling at certain points.
